Hyderabad, Nov. 8: Experts cite environmental pollution and presence of harmful chemicals for the spread of cancer. “Increased human interference with the environment is the cause,” said Professor Laszlo Tabar, president of Mammography Education Inc of Arizona.
Alarmingly, the patient base of breast cancer in India starts from the age group of 20 unlike Western countries where the average is 40.
“Early detection is the only solution. We strongly recommend a screening for women even if they do not suspect any lump formation in the breast area. The only way to bring down the number of breast cancer cases is by a thorough wellness check-up by all women in the vulnerable age group,” said Dr Tabar.
